Rebecca,
I would love to hear what the winning filling is! I'm sure it will be creative.

Jenifer,
The pictures are all cooked. The ones on the bottom were just over full and exploded a bit. Alas, I also don't have time this year for making tons of hamentashen to ship or you would be getting a package.

Laura,
Yeast dough hamentaschen with mocha meringue filling sounds amazing. Are you planning on posting the recipe? If not would you be willing to share?

I was just looking at Alice Medrich's recipe for chocolate hamantaschen this morning! Great idea to tweak it with some peanut butter . . . I made some traditional hamantaschen(prune and apricot), plus some flaky yeast dough hamantaschen (like yeast rugelach dough) with some mocha meringue filling.

Are the pictures of cooked v. uncooked, or just to show some overflowing hamentaschen? Alas, this year there will be no time for hamentaschen -- so maybe you could freeze a few for us for our next visit, in May?:)
